BLANK WHEEL. Roulette as a mechanical device. Hello dear friends, I am opening this topic for the discussion of the wheel as an strictly mechanical device.
Are numbers "real entities" or are they just labeled pockets? Can we bet and track a blank wheel? Let's open the topic for mature discussion. Hopefully we will all learn from it.

HI VICTOR
I'M GLAD YOU UNDERSTAND MY POINT.
THE NUMBERS COULDE BE ANYTHING,THEY COULD BE PICTURES OF PEOPLES FACES,THEY COULD BE ANIMALS OR FRUIT, IT DONT MATTER .
THEY ARE JUST GIUDS TO KEEP TRACK OF THE BALL MOVMENT AND PATTERNS ON THE GRID.

Mathematically, roulette cannot be beaten.
However, here's a quote by Victor which explains the roulette enigma:
...Some people can win with the martingale progression a lifetime waiting a sucession of "red" or "black" will come to an end and that will be the best system according to them. Another group will make the same and it will fail. Likewise, some guys will be making a killing with visual ballistics while others will never manage to make it function at all.
In the game of roulette a key to succeed is to find a method which suits you and which works with you. Basically, it is all the same for everyone: Know the method inside out and try to surf the bad times + take the most advantage of the good times.
Actually, once you are familiarized enough with the method -and it becomes a second nature- you can "smell" when times are coming good or the opposite, and act accordingly.
I can imagine people thinking while tracking the disk + ball movement: X hasn't happened, it must come soon. Y is happening too much, it must come to an end... Z is happening intermitently, I might try it or skip it.
From the disk or the layout it is basically the same when you are using a good strategy. The situations of game are mainly the same. It is the means we use what makes the difference, in the case of the disk, the events...
There is space for every approach to roulette, like darwin's natural selection, the best personal method will end up being the characteristic adopted...
Thanks Victor.

Quoting Victor: "Can we bet and track a blank wheel?"
Perhaps I have not made clear what a "blank wheel" is in my mind. Well, it's totally white or black or pink or whatever. It has no distinguishing characteristics to identify the pockets; all are exactly the same color or are no color.
The table is a different story. It has an oblongness that we recognize. We recognize the areas to bet columns and dozens and we can fill in the blanks.
So the wheel is the issue.
You spin the blank wheel and hit a pocket. Call it 6. Or 36 or 26 or 16 or any number. Using this flawed and convoluted logic, one could hit numbers all day in this la la land we've created. But real life is not that way.
Now suppose you "imagine" the wheel. Well, you can't. Why? Because you'd just have the existing wheel, which is a fact, and you can't imagine a fact. I can "Imagine no possessions", but I can't imagine gravity. I can jump off a building and experience it, but since it exists, I can't imagine it. The imagination dwells in the imaginary world.
RAY, in saying one could use a blank wheel to form patterns on a blank board, has perhaps made the most ludicrous statement in recorded human history. Kimo Li yells "BINGO" to agree with him.
Now, if you put symbols on the wheel.....well, you're far from the topic.....but it's interesting. I have thought much about it will post later.

MY STATEMENT COULD BE THE MOST LUDICROUS STATMENT IN RECORDED HUMAN HISTORY,IT MAY ALSO BE THE GREATIST STATEMENT IN THE THE RECORDED HISTORY OF ROULETTE.
MY STATEMENT MIGHT CHANGE THE WAY WE ALL SEE AND PLAY THE GAME.
TWOCAT I THINK YOU LIKE MY STATEMENT.I THINK IT HAS RENEWED YOU IN SOME KIND OF WAY.
KIMO'S BOOK IS NO JOKE, AND HE'S GAVE IT TO US FOR FREE.
HIS BOOK CHANGED THE WAY I LOOK AT THE GAME.

Numbers who incite numbers to come....... All.......
I make make here again an argument I have made in the past---
I firmly believe that numbers incite other numbers to come. I've seen it too many times. xandrew says the 28 and 29 are closely related. Many times I have seen those two numbers follow within a few spins of each other. Same with 10 and 11.
So here's the question: If we replaced the first 26 numbers with the alphabet and continued on with Aa, Bb, Cc and so on, would I see the same thing with letters as with numbers?
Perhaps this gets into the realm of Eastern philosophical wisdom or numerology, I don't know. I have read a little on numerology and have met people who swear by it. Funny thing is, while inputing numbers into Mark's program, I notice the same things with a RNG. Numbers seem to come in a prescribed manner.
I have looked into the chaos theory and strange attractors, but I'm really in over my head there. I will quote from a book called "Craps by the Numbers" by Alfred Di Mauro: "It is accepted in mathematics that even the most random series of events, including identical values, will clump together for no discernible reason."
So if 28 became Bb and 29 became Cc, would they still follow each other as the numbers do?
I know this. There are forces in this Universe we do not understand and probably never will. Then again, we don't have to understand them. If we can just use them, we will do fine.

Nice one Sam,
In my experience if you look at large groups of numbers long enough, and what I mean by long enough is for years as you go through the different stages of superstitions, focusing, investigations of randomness, and listening to others you end up getting more relaxed about what I have referred to as wild swings. You end up knowing, through the natural recurrence of natural statistics, that a wild swing can happen at any time that you happen to walk up and start tracking the wheel.
If a wild swing comes from a supernatural event then there must be a way to take advantage of that for that to benefit you. Perhaps ESP would be a better skill to master grass hopper( ref: Kung Fu TV show). Sam is attempting to give you the very best advice there is to know regarding random events. It is my experience that if you are focused on something specific to happen then you will see that when it happens. That is not supernatural. Being fixated on something to happen can be a form of being stuck. If you only focus on just that then you are stuck.
Sam is not stuck and I'm not stuck except for having a big mouth and my opinions. It's just good worldly advice here. What others do with it is up to them. But to taut focus as a greater revelation of phenomenon will get people like us looking back at you with less subjective eyes.

A funny story...... Mark talks about is seeing what we're focused on.....
I'm at the horse races and the gray horse in the race just won. Captain Obvious, my sometimes buddy, points out that the "gray horse always wins". I asked what if there were two gray horses in the race, and he said with a straight face: "You'll never see two gray horses in the same race."
Mark, I do empirical data -*test*-('")s. The longest I've done is 5,000 spins cold and 2,000 while betting. Heard this line by Clint Black? "...and we tell ourselves that what we found was what we meant to find." Not me. I set down the rules before the first spin and keep to them until I either abandon the study or complete it. If I see a new trend I want to study, I start over.
Skewed data will skew your butt at the wheel.
